There is Hope

Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder can be overwhelming, frustrating and confusing even on a good day. Add in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which a majority of people with Dissociative Identity Disorder also have, and you’ve got a recipe for serious depression and some major dysfunction.  But having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and D.I.D. doesn’t have to mean that you’re sentenced to be debilitated and broken forever.

Change and healing are possible. You can have a good and fulfilling life.

It won’t be easy. Nothing in life is easy. But let’s be honest here. People with D.I.D. generally had a pretty rotten start in life. It’s okay to be struggling. It’s okay to be frustrated and confused and barely getting through the day. It doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It means you’re a fighter.

You don’t have to know all of the steps you need to take on your healing journey. You just have to know the next step. Take that step and trust that it’s enough for right now. Because each step on the path of healing is beautiful and worth celebrating.
